How to Make Tinctures
Tinctures extract plant’s essential oil, and make fantastic additions to cocktails
What is a Tincture?
A tincture is an alcoholic extraction of a plant’s essential oils. The nice thing about tinctures is they concentrate the useful chemical constituents and medicinal properties of the plant material into a liquid. Traditionally there are 3 ways to harvest natural plant oils; water, oil and alcohol.
